A podcast

built around one simple belief: the more honestly we talk about the hard stuff, the less alone we feel.

Since day one, REAL has been a space for the conversations most people are having in their heads but not out loud — about mental health, body image, relationships, identity, and what it actually feels like to navigate your 20s and 30s in real time. No filters, no perfectly packaged advice. Just honest conversations with people who get it.

What started as one person sharing her story has grown into

a community of hundreds of thousands of people who show up because they're looking for something real, and because they're tired of pretending they have it all together.

INTRODUCING

The Experts Series

This season of REAL is different.

The Experts Series is a 10-episode collection of in-depth conversations with licensed mental health professionals who are doing some of the most important work in the field right now. We're talking about high functioning depression, disordered eating, trauma, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, BPD, relationships, perfectionism, and the psychology of GLP-1s — topics that affect so many of us but that most people have never had a real conversation about.

The goal isn't just to make these conversations feel accessible (although that matters a lot). It's to actually connect you to the resources, the tools, and the people who can help. Every episode comes with a curated resource guide — free and paid — so that wherever you're at, there's somewhere to go next.

I created this because I've spent years watching people — myself included — struggle to find mental health support that feels both credible and human. I wanted to build something that bridges that gap. Something that doesn't just raise awareness but actually does something about it.

New episodes drop weekly.
Each one is a conversation I genuinely wish I'd had sooner.

Why I Created This

I'm currently studying social work at Fordham University, and the more I learn about the mental health system — the gaps in access, the stigma, the way people fall through the cracks — the more I feel a responsibility to use the platform I've built to do something meaningful with it. The Experts Series is that something.

It's also deeply personal. Mental health has been a through line in my own life, and I know what it feels like to look fine on the outside while struggling on the inside. I made this for anyone who's been there — or who's there right now.

ABOUT

Carly Weinstein

Content Creator · Podcast Host · Graduate Student

Hi, I'm Carly — a New York-based content creator, podcast host, and graduate student in social work at Fordham University.

I've spent the last several years building a community online around the things people don't always feel comfortable saying out loud: the body image stuff, the anxiety, the relationships that are complicated, the days where you seem completely fine and feel completely empty. I make content about mental health, identity, lifestyle, and real life in NYC — and I try to do it in a way that's honest first, always.

Blending fashion-forward lifestyle content with emotional transparency, I've built a deeply engaged community rooted in honesty and growth. Through Real with Carly Weinstein, I expand those conversations beyond relatability — connecting my audience to licensed mental health professionals, actionable resources, and accessible education.

Currently balancing graduate school with my growing platform, I'm documenting the evolving realities of young adulthood with humour, vulnerability, and intention. The Experts Series is the most meaningful project I've created to date — and I can't wait for you to be part of it.
